FEU tops UP, keeps semis bonus bid alive

By Manila Times - 6 months ago

MANILA, Philippines: The FEU Lady Tamaraws kept their Final Four twice-to-beat incentive bid alive after dispatching the UP Fighting Maroons, 25-20, 27-29, 25-21, 25-21, in the UAAP Season 86 women's volleyball tournament at the PhilSports Arena on Saturday, April 20.

Faida Bakanke unloaded 19 points and tallied four excellent digs for the fourth seed FEU, which won for the fifth straight time to rise to 9-4.

The Lady Tamaraws will face the NU Lady Bulldogs to wrap their elimination round campaign and a win would keep their top two finish bid alive. A loss, however, would end their chances for that top two finish.

Steph Bustrillo pumped 16 points and five digs for the already-eliminated UP, which dropped to a league worst 1-12 slate.
