Despite being out of the Final Four contention, Ateneo Blue Eagles head coach Sergio Veloso stressed the importance for his team to finish strong in the UAAP Season 86 women's volleyball tournament.

Ateneo won the first of its last three games in the season after defeating its first-round tormentors UE Lady Warriors, 25-17, 23-25, 25-23, 25-16, at the Mall of Asia Arena on Sunday, April 14.
