Tulfos, Sotto, Duterte, Go, Lacson lead OCTA senatorial bets for 2025

MANILA, Philippines: Broadcasters Erwin and Ben Tulfo and former president Rodrigo Duterte are among the top senatorial candidates in the 2025 elections.

Based on the first quarter Tugon ng Masa survey by OCTA Research from March 11 to 14, 2024, ACT-CIS Partylist Rep. Tulfo, also House of Representatives' deputy majority leader, is ahead of the pack with 58.4 percent preference, followed by former senator Vicente "Tito" Sotto 3rd at 51.7 percent.

Re-electionist Sen. Christopher Lawrence "Bong" Go, broadcaster Ben Tulfo, Duterte and former senator Panfilo Lacson complete the top six.

Others in the potential "Magic 12" are Sen. Ronald "Bato" de la Rosa, former senator Emmanuel Pacquiao, Sen. Ramon Bong Revilla Jr., Sen. Maria Josefa Imelda "Imee" Marcos and Sen. Pilar Juliana "Pia" Cayetano.

Former Manila mayor and presidential aspirant Francisco "Isko Moreno" Domagoso is the newcomer in the Magic 12.

Reelectionist Senators Francis Tolentino, Manuel "Lito" Lapid, physician Willie Ong, and Interior Secretary Benjamin Abalos Jr. are also statistically included in the Magic 12.

The survey had 1200 respondents with a national margin of error of plus or minus three percent.
