Marc Pingris denies cheating allegations

By Manila Times - 8 months ago

Former basketball player Marc Pingris took to social media to deny ongoing rumors of alleged infidelity to his wife, Danica Sotto.

Speaking in Filipino, Pingris said there was "no truth" to spreading rumors about him and Kim Rodriguez.

He said that he and Kim were together in a basketball event and another one where Rodriguez was the muse of their team.

At the same time, he thanked those who have expressed their concern and assured them that he and his family were "okay." He appealed to the public to refrain from spreading falsehoods and asked for "respect" so that their children would not be affected.

Earlier this week, a blind item about a married personality's alleged involvement with a young actress surfaced. At the same time, photos of Pingris and Rodriguez — who currently stars in the ABS-CBN series "Batang Quiapo" — started to circulate. Social media users concluded that the blind item referred to Pingris.

Pingris married Danica Sotto, daughter of Vic Sotto and Dina Bonnevie, in 2007. They have three children.
