By Manila Times - 6 months ago

ILOILO CITY: An initial 10 remote barangay (villages) in the municipality of Lambunao, Iloilo province stand to benefit from the Super Health Center that will soon rise in Barangay Pasig.

Lambunao health officer Dr. Ma. Mercedes Ballarta said in an interview on Monday that the health center is expected to benefit Barangay Banban, Bayuco, Bonbon, Cabunlawan, Lumanay, Natividad, Cabatangan, Jayubo, Caninguan, and Pasig, the host village.

"It was the barangay we had identified far from the hospital or the town proper. And of course, we have a ready lot donated for the barangay health station," Ballarta said.

The Super Health Center has a budget of P10 million taken from the Department of Health-Health Facilities Enhancement Program 2023 budget, with an additional P2 million for equipment.

The groundbreaking ceremony was held March 22 and the facility is eyed for completion in 120 days.
