Creamline bounces back from loss by sweeping Capital 1

The Creamline bounced back from a loss in dominant fashion as the Cool Smashers outpowered the Capital 1 Solar Spikers, 25-18, 25-14, 25-15, in the 2024 Premier Volleyball League (PVL) All-Filipino Conference at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on Thursday, March 21, 2024.

Creamline imposed its dominance against its rival and ignited an 8-0 run, capped by Tots Carlos kill, to take a 24-10 advantage in the third frame.

The Solar Spikers, however, answered with a 5-0 rally capped by Cathrina Dizon to make the game interesting but Bernadeth Pons fired a through-the-block to end the match at 25-15.

Jorelle Singh scored nine points in the opening frame and finished with 14 points in the game for Creamline, which lost to Chery Tiggo in three sets on Saturday, March 16.

Carlos also netted 14 points and Pons added seven points for the Cool Smashers, who returned on top of the standings with a 5-1 win-loss record.

Capital 1 fell to 1-5.
