MIAA says sorry to victims of bed bugs

By Manila Times - 9 months ago

The Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) apologized to two passengers bitten by bed bugs at terminals 2 and 3 of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport.

This came after the passengers posted photos of bite marks on their legs on Facebook.

"The MIAA apologizes to the victims and assures them that a speedy resolution to this can be expected," the airport authority said on Wednesday night.

MIAA General Manager Eric Ines ordered the managers of all terminals to "look into the matter and provide him with a report within 24 hours stating the circumstances surrounding the incidents and their recommended corrective actions to put an end to this problem."

The agency said the seats which had bed bugs have been pulled out "permanently."
