FINTECH Philippines Association (FPH) held its first Financing and Lending Forum this year on Jan. 24, 2024. The event was livestreamed on Facebook to engage a wide virtual audience.
The forum brought together industry leaders from Global Dominion Financing Inc., SB Finance and Mount Fuji Lending to share insights on growth and development, digital transformation and risk management in the financial sector.
Speakers, who provided their expertise from leading financial institutions, included Patricia Poco-Palacios, president and managing director of Global Dominion Financing Inc.; Mikael Nieves, president of Mount Fuji Lending; and Mikal Rallonza, head of Product Management and Business Development of SB Finance.
"We've been dedicating more time and effort to digital transformation, a considerably critical aspect of our business. We see technology as a driver to improve our operations, making loans applications a lot simpler and more convenient, consequently improving customer experience," said Poco-Palacios.
Students from various universities also participated virtually and engaged with industry experts. An icebreaker activity encouraged active participation from the audience. A panel discussion was moderated by Aian Guanzon, a member of the FPH.
By involving both industry professionals and students, the event aimed to enrich expertise in the finance sector while inspiring the next generation.
Global Dominion has been offering car and truck refinancing (sangla or pawning car's official receipt and certificate of registration); brand new and used car and truck financing; doctors' loans; and real estate loans for small and medium enterprises to empower families achieve their goals and dreams.
