Vice governor cited for influential leadership

VICE Gov. Alexis Castro of Bulacan was one of the public officials recognized as "Most Influential and Outstanding Advocate for Good Governance" at the Asia's Influential Leader Awards held at the Grand Ballroom of Okada Manila on Friday, February 16.

The award aims to give recognition and appreciation to outstanding individuals and business entities for their significant impacts, achievements and contributions in the society.

Castro was recognized for his outstanding and influential leadership in Bulacan as an innovator and leader in the field of legislation.

Castro said the award is a testament of his commitment, determination, perseverance, integrity and honesty.

He dedicated the award to all Bulakenyo legislators, young and seasoned.

Other awardees include Sen. Mary Grace Poe, Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin "Boying" Remulla, Bureau of Internal Revenue Commissioner Romeo Lumagui Jr., actors Coco Martin and Alden Richards, Comelec Chairman George Erwin Garcia, among others.
