MANILA, Philippines: Kai Sotto pumped a career-best 26 points to steer Yokohama B-Corsairs to a 90-85 overtime win over the Chiba Jets in the Japan B.League at the Funabashi Arena on Sunday, February 11.

Sotto, who shot efficiently with a 9-of-13 clip, also grabbed a season-high 11 rebounds to make it a back-to-back double-double performance for him.

The Filipino import tallied the first of the two against the same team with 18 markers and 10 boards albeit it came in a 79-89 defeat at the road.

Sotto's 11 boards also made it the third consecutive game that he breached double digits in terms of rebounding.

The first of the three came against Shibuya where he collected 10 rebounds laced with five points.

Against Chiba, the 7-foot-3 cager scored six of his total points in the extra period including the two free throws that sealed the win for the home team in the last 14.9 seconds.

Jarrod Uthoff scored 17 points and eight rebounds to backstop Sotto while John Mooney paced the Jets with 25 markers and nine caroms.

Sotto and the B-Corsairs improved to 17-22, good for the 17th spot in the team standings.
