2,400 family food packs to be flown to Davao flood victims

MANILA, Philippines: At least 2,400 family food packs were loaded into two US C-130 planes at the Villamor Airbase in Pasay City on Monday for the residents in Davao Region who have been affected by floods, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) said on Monday. The DSWD, together with the United Nations Agency for International Development (USAID), supervised the loading of the FFFPs in addition to the 40,800 that would be transported by the Philippine Navy's BRP Davao del Sur-LD 602.

The FFPs will be given to local government units (LGUs) in Davao.

DSWD Secretary Rexlon "Rex" Gatchalian directed the ongoing distribution of relief aid to Mindanao in accordance with President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.'s order to speed up the provision of assistance to the region.
