STARPAY recently took part in the exciting Paleng-QR PH Plus program in Iloilo City.
Paleng-QR PH Plus program was jointly developed by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) and the Department of the Interior and Local Government to bolster the country's digital payments ecosystem.
Market vendors, community shopkeepers, and tricycle operators and drivers in cities and municipalities are encouraged to utilize cashless payments by simply scanning the Paleng-QR PH Plus code, using an e-wallet system such as Starpay.
An e-money issuer and operator of payment systems licensed by BSP, Starpay offers digital payment solutions and money movement capabilities with e-wallets, disbursements and collections services.
With Paleng-QR PH Plus, users can enjoy sanitary and convenient cashless payments, a reduction of counterfeit bills, and less cost for transportation.
It also enables vendors and suppliers to develop a significant financial footprint, which is beneficial when they apply for credit.
A total of 1,625 vendors at the terminal market and 1,870 tricycle drivers have been successfully onboarded to the Paleng-QR PH Plus program.
Buyers and commuters can now pay for their purchases and their tricycle fare using Starpay.
