RPTV launches after CNN PH signoff

By Manila Times - 5 months ago

RPTV, partially owned by Manny V. Pangilinan's TV5 network and MediaQuest Holdings, launched on channel 9 at 6 a.m. on Thursday, replacing the spot vacated by CNN Philippines.

Its maiden offerings include the radio show of Ted Failon and DJ ChaCha, followed by the program "Good Morning Kapatid."

Games of the Philippine Basketball Association were also expected to air on the channel, as well as the noontime show "Eat Bulaga."

Meanwhile, the official website and social media platforms of CNN Philippines have all gone offline after the channel signed off at 10 p.m. on Wednesday.

CNN Philippines announced earlier this week that it ceased operations because of "significant financial losses."
