MANILA, Philippines: The Manila City Civil Registry Office is inviting couples to avail of its church and civil wedding, or "Kasalang Bayan" at the Manila Cathedral in June.
The registration is until April 30, 2024.
"For those interested to avail of the program, visit the office of the civil registry and bring the necessary documents needed," Manila Mayor Maria Sheila Lacuna-Pangan said on Thursday.
The requirements needed for those who will avail of the civil wedding are: Certificate of No Marriage (CENOMAR); Marriage License (Manila Civil Registry issued); Birth Certificate; valid Identification Card with Manila address; affidavit of cohabitation (for 23 years old and up who have been living together for five years or more with children).
For church wedding applicants, they must bring: Certificate of No Marriage (CENOMAR); Baptismal Certificate; confirmation certificate; Marriage Banns (for non-parishioners of Intramuros);Marriage License that was issued by Manila Civil Registry; Birth Certificate; valid Identification Card with Manila address; interview/seminar in church; affidavit of cohabitation (for 23 years old and up, who have been living together for five years of more with children); and children's Birth Certificate if any.
