MANILA, Philippines: TV host actress Pauleen Luna gave the public a sneak peek of her second child with husband Vic Sotto on her Instagram stories by showing her baby's right cheek and lips, captioned "Good morning" and accompanied by a red heart emoji.
Wednesday's post was followed by a picture of eldest daughter, Tali, who is now six years old, standing beside the hospital bed. In her hands, Tali held a flower, which Luna, 35, captioned, "A flower from the world's sweetest Ate."
This Showbiz news site pep.ph exclusively reported that Luna gave birth at around 7 a.m. of Tuesday through Cesarean delivery, just like Tali.
Meanwhile, on Monday, Luna captured her last "pregnant selfie" also on Instagram.
Luna expressed her overwhelming gratitude for being able to carry another child, despite what she referred to as her "condition."
"It sure is a sentimental feeling but I feel extremely blessed to be able to carry another child despite my condition. All glory and praise goes to our one and only Lord for blessing us with this child. Ikaw lang talaga ito Panginoon, wala ng iba pa (You are the one God and no one else). I couldn't have carried her to term without Your protection and guidance oh Lord. I would also like to thank all my prayer warriors who have been with us since day 1. Please know that you have a special special place in my heart," Luna wrote in the caption.
The actress and TV host also assured Tali that she will always be "mommy's first" as she recognized the upcoming changes.
"It was just you and me for 6 years and you have taught me so much. Maybe you would think that oftentimes you needed your mom but it was really me who needed you most of the time. Thank you for giving me purpose and meaning. Thank you for making me a very happy mommy," she said.
She also directed her gratitude toward her husband, 69-year-old "Eat Bulaga" main host Vic Sotto saying, "To my ever supportive and loving husband, I am so grateful for you. I look at you now as I type these words and my heart is just filled with love and gratitude. Mahal na mahal kita. Habang buhay (I love you so much. Forever)."
Luna then mentioned her yet-to-be-named newborn baby she calls "mochi girl" and said, "Mommy cannot wait to hug and kiss you tomorrow! You are yet another answered prayer in our lives! I'm so excited to make memories with you and your ate and dad. I love you!"
It was in December 2011 when Luna began dating Sotto after co-starring in "Enteng ng Ina Mo." Both hosts of noontime show "Eat Bulaga" Sotto confirmed their relationship only in 2013. Luna and Sotto married on Jan. 30, 2016.
