EU brandy to face anti-dumping steps from Beijing

China announced temporary anti-dumping measures on European Union brandy imports, escalating trade tensions between the two regions. The measures, effective Friday, involve cash deposits or letters of guarantee and follow provisional tariffs imposed last month. France, a major brandy producer, suggests the move is politically motivated retaliation for EU tariffs on Chinese electric vehicles.
