US holiday spending on buy now, pay later to hit record due to debt-laden shoppers

U.S. shoppers are projected to spend a record $18.5 billion using buy now, pay later services for holiday purchases in the last quarter of the year, according to Adobe Analytics. This marks an 11.4% increase from last year, with firms like Klarna and Afterpay gaining market share over debit cards and other payment methods.
