ADB cuts Bangladesh's growth forecast due to political unrest

By Economic Times - 2 months ago
The Asian Development Bank has revised Bangladesh's economic growth forecast to 5.1% for FY 2024-25, down from an earlier projection of 6.6%. This adjustment is due to political unrest, recent floods, and high inflation. Nobel laureate Muhammad Yunus has been appointed head of the interim government following Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's resignation.
