US health authorities are warning against a rare mosquito-borne disease called the Triple E virus or eastern equine encephalitis (EEE) virus. A 41-year-old from New Hampshire recently died from the infection. The virus causes severe brain inflammation and has a high mortality rate. Efforts emphasize mosquito control and personal protection against bites.
