The U.S. Commerce Department is expected to propose a ban on Chinese software in autonomous and connected vehicles in the coming weeks, sources briefed on the matter have indicated. Additionally, the rule would prohibit vehicles equipped with Chinese-developed advanced wireless communication modules from operating in the U.S.
