At least 12 people died in a mudslide at a homestay in China's Yuelin village following heavy rains from tropical storm Gaemi. Separately, a delivery person was killed by a fallen tree in Shanghai. The storm earlier intensified rains in the Philippines and Taiwan, causing numerous fatalities and extensive damage. Evacuations and precautionary measures were implemented across affected regions.
