Hadi Matar, who brutally attacked author Salman Rushdie in New York, now faces terrorism charges including attempting to support Hezbollah, a Lebanese militant group backed by Iran. The indictment, unsealed in Buffalo's U.S. District Court, also accuses Matar of committing terrorism beyond national borders and aiding terrorists.
