'Brain-eating' amoeba claims life of 22-year-old in Pakistan's Karachi, makes it third such case this year

A 22-year-old man in Karachi, Pakistan, has died from primary amoebic meningoencephalitis (PAM), marking the third fatality from the disease this year, as reported by ARY News. PAM is an infection of the central nervous system caused by Naegleria fowleri, also known as the 'brain-eating' amoeba.
