Ireland has officially recognized a Palestinian state, defying Israel's condemnation. The government approved the recognition in a cabinet meeting, agreeing to establish full diplomatic relations between Dublin and Ramallah. An Ambassador to Palestine will be appointed, and a full Embassy of Ireland will be established in Ramallah.
