China March industrial output rises 4.5%, misses expectations

China's industrial output growth in March slowed to 4.5% from a year earlier, down from 7.0% in the previous two months, according to official data released by the National Bureau of Statistics. This weaker-than-expected performance has raised concerns and put pressure on policymakers to consider implementing further stimulus measures to support the country's economic recovery, which has been uneven.
