Israeli embassy in Singapore forced to take down 'insensitive' Facebook post

By Economic Times - 8 months ago
Singapore's government intervened in a controversial post by the Israeli Embassy, which cited the holy Quran for political reasons. The post, deemed "insensitive" and "completely unacceptable," was deemed an "astonishing attempt to rewrite history" and posed a risk to safety, security, and harmony in Singapore. The post, which claimed Israel is mentioned 43 times in the Quran, was later removed by the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
