The Indonesian air safety agency has emphasized the need for better pilot fatigue monitoring mechanisms after an investigation revealed that both pilots of a commercial aircraft had fallen asleep during a flight. The incident occurred during a Batik Air flight from South East Sulawesi to Jakarta on January 25, with both the pilot and co-pilot asleep for approximately 28 minutes.
