Etihad Airways, based in Abu Dhabi, announced a profit of USD 143 million for the year, citing increased passenger numbers as a key factor. This profit marks a turnaround for the airline, which faced significant losses during the pandemic-induced lockdowns. Despite challenges, Etihad saw revenue rise to USD 5.5 billion in 2023 from USD 4.9 billion in 2022, with a profit of just USD 25 million the previous year.
