Uber Eats has launched robot deliveries in Tokyo, offering the service in a small area of the city with the hope of expanding it across Japan. The self-driving delivery vehicles use sensors to navigate streets and avoid obstacles. The move comes as Japan faces a growing labour shortage and has changed traffic laws to allow delivery robots on public streets.
