Former Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan received a 10-year jail term for allegedly leaking state secrets, involving the disclosure of a confidential cable from the ambassador in Washington. The special court also sentenced ex-foreign minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi to 10 years. Khan's party, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), decried the decision as a "sham case" and pledged to challenge it.
