The world's largest cruise ship begins its maiden voyage from the Port of Miami
The world's largest cruise ship, Royal Caribbean's Icon of the Seas, is embarking on its maiden voyage from the Port of Miami. The ship, stretching nearly 1,200 feet, will undertake a seven-day island-hopping journey through the tropics. Officially christened earlier in the week with the assistance of soccer legend Lionel Messi and his Inter Miami teammates, the Icon of the Seas boasts eight neighborhoods, 20 decks, six waterslides, seven swimming pools, an ice-skating rink, a theater, and over 40 restaurants, bars, and lounges.
