US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin has been released from the hospital after spending two weeks there for treatment of complications from secret surgery for prostate cancer. The cancer was detected during a routine screening in December, and Austin underwent surgery on December 22. Austin, 70, developed an infection a week later and was admitted to intensive care on January 1.
