India's urban unemployment rate hit a six-year low of 6.4% in the July-September quarter, driven by increased hiring and a record-high overall labor force participation rate of 50.4%. While Jammu & Kashmir reported the highest unemployment, female labor force participation saw a significant rise, with more women entering regular employment and self-employment sectors.
