CAD widens marginally on widening trade deficit

India's current account deficit widened slightly to 1.1% of GDP in the June quarter, driven by a rising trade deficit. While net services receipts and NRI deposits increased, a slowdown in capital flows resulted in a lower overall surplus of $5.2 billion, down from $24 billion a year earlier.
