India extends anti-subsidy duty on Chinese chemical for 5 years

By Economic Times - 2 months ago
India has extended countervailing duty on a Chinese chemical used in pesticides for five more years to protect domestic manufacturers. The finance ministry's decision follows a recommendation from the commerce ministry's investigation arm, DGTR. The duty of up to 11.94 per cent aims to curb subsidised exports that harm Indian producers' margins and profits.
