India's Forex reserves have risen by $7.02 billion to $681 billion as of August 23, according to the Reserve Bank of India. This follows a previous increase of $4.54 billion, bringing reserves to $674.66 billion on August 16. The RBI intervenes in the market to prevent excessive volatility in the rupee's exchange rate.
