Union Minister of Consumer Affairs, Pralhad Joshi, announced a market intervention by the National Cooperative Consumers' Federation of India to lower tomato prices in Delhi. The initiative involves procuring tomatoes at wholesale prices to sell at reasonable rates, aiming to stabilize retail prices. Joshi stated that prices are expected to decrease over the next week, with tomatoes being sold at Rs 60 per kg in various locations to ease financial burdens on consumers.
