Union Minister Ajay Tamta has announced the commencement of work on an 88.4 km six-lane greenfield highway connecting Gwalior and Agra at a cost of Rs 4,216 crore. The highway aims reduce travel time between the two cities to just one hour from the current three hours. Additionally, a western bypass of Gwalior's ring road, spanning 28.8 km at Rs 1,004 crore, has also been approved to enhance regional development.
