The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) had previously extended the due date for filing Form 10A and Form 10AB for such trusts, institutions, and funds multiple times, with the last extension until September 30, 2023. This extension aims to avoid genuine hardships to taxpayers, allowing trusts to file Form 10A/Form 10AB for income tax exemption or renewal of permanent registration by the new deadline.
