Projects running behind schedule declined to a 15-month low in January; cost overruns dip

In January, the percentage of central government projects facing delays reached its lowest point in 15 months, dropping to 42.8% from 46.6% the previous month, according to a report. Out of 1,821 registered projects, 617 were on time, 780 were delayed, 431 experienced cost overruns, and 255 had both time and cost overruns. The average time overrun for the 780 delayed projects was 36.13 months.
