Joydeep Dasgupta is the new director of production at NMDC. He started on Saturday. The government appointed Dasgupta on Friday. He will be director until at least April 2028. Dasgupta is an electrical engineer. He worked at SAIL for 27 years. He was also CEO of International Coal Ventures. Dasgupta has mining experience in India and other countries.
