Govt revises wastage, input-output norms for jewellery exports

By Economic Times - 3 weeks ago
The government revises norms for permissible wastage in the export of gold, silver, and platinum jewellery, effective January 1. Wastage limits have been slightly reduced: 2.25% for handmade gold and platinum jewellery, 3% for silver, and specified reductions for machine-made and studded items. This ensures stricter control over duty-free metals.
