The GSMA Board re-elected Bharti Airtel CEO Gopal Vittal as deputy chair effective January 1, 2025. Mathew Oommen of Reliance Jio was also re-elected as a board member. Jose Maria Alvarez-Pallete Lopez of Telefonica will lead the board. The board includes 26 newly elected directors from major telecom companies worldwide.
