JNU's 2,000 KWp solar power plant on table, to slash electricity bill by Rs 3 cr annually

Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) aims to install a 2,000 KWp solar power plant to save around Rs 3 crore on annual electricity bills. The new setup will include solar panels on building rooftops and vacant areas. The project, costing Rs 10-12 crore, is expected to produce 30 lakh units of electricity annually after installation within six months.
