The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) plans to waive the need for bank guarantees for deferred spectrum instalments if telecom companies agree to pay an additional three months' instalments annually. This follows a request from Vodafone Idea and could potentially benefit other telcos like Reliance Jio and Bharti Airtel.
