Over 4 lakh rooftop solar systems have been installed across India under the PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana. The scheme aims to provide rooftop solar equipment and free electricity to one crore households. The announcement was made by Union Minister Pralhad Joshi during the curtain raiser event for the 7th International Solar Alliance Assembly.
