Bomb threats to flights increasing, Centre to double deployment of Air Marshals on 'sensitive routes'

By Economic Times - 17 hours ago
The central government will double the number of sky marshals on flights from Indian airports. This decision follows multiple bomb threats and input from intelligence agencies. New international routes classified as sensitive will see more sky marshals. The National Security Guard will deploy the marshals mainly on international routes and some sensitive domestic routes.
