EU presses ahead with Chinese EV tariffs after divided vote

The EU will introduce tariffs on China-made electric vehicles, despite Germany's objections. The tariffs will range up to 45% and will last for five years to counter unfair Chinese subsidies. A compromise on sales prices is being explored, but this has raised concerns about a potential trade conflict with China.
