The government has introduced the PM E-DRIVE Scheme to encourage electric vehicles' adoption and infrastructure development. The scheme will run from October 1, 2024, to March 31, 2026. Subsidies will be provided for various EVs and the installation of public charging stations. Incentives will also support EV testing facilities and the deployment of e-trucks.
