India's power consumption in September remained nearly unchanged at 141.36 billion units year-on-year, primarily due to 10.6% above-normal rainfall reducing the need for cooling appliances. Peak power demand also contracted to 230.60 GW from 239.93 GW last year, with the highest-ever peak at about 250 GW recorded in May 2024.
